Canon Announces New T3i and T3 DSLR Digital Cameras

Canon has announced the new Canon T3i and T3 DSLR digital cameras (also known as the 600D and 1100D), updated versions to replace the popular Canon T2i. Both the T3i and T3 are Canon’s new entry level dslr cameras with the T3i having overall better specs than the more basic T3.

The new Canon Rebel T3i sports a 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 4 image processor, 3.7 fps, full HD video (30p-24p-25p), HD (60p-50p) and SD video (30p-25p) with full manual exposure control, ISO range of 100-6400, 3″ LCD with 1.04-million dots.

The Canon Rebel T3 has a 12.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 4 image processor, shoots at 3 fps and shoots HD video at 30p. The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100-6400, and it also has a 2.7″ LCD (230,000-dot).

The Canon T3i is expected in stores in early March and lists for $899 with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens kit or $799 for the body only. The Canon T3 is available only with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens kit (no body only), listed for $599 and is expected by the end of March.
